Hello, happy and beautiful women around the world! I hope you're having a wonderful women's day. I have.
Here's what I've done today:
I woke up, fed, and took care of my sweet baby girl.
I took the day off work.
I went to the library to take extra time to study, read and chill out.
I went to the nature park closest to me and walked, thought, and communed with myself and nature.
Now I'm going home to spend the rest of the day with baby bug!
I'll probably take a long bath and watch a movie after putting her to bed, or else I'll go to bed early.
What I didn't (and don't plan to) do:
I didn't buy a single thing or spend any money.
In fact, I didn't even check out anything at the library. (I did return a few books, though.)
That's it! I didn't go to any rallies. I wasn't angry. In fact, I felt like taking the day off for myself made me feel more calm, free, and clear-headed. It was a simple day and a simple act of civil disobedience. (Recommended reading: Dr Martin Luther King Jr's letter from Birmingham jail)
Tel me what you did today!
