Summer just began and yet... It's almost over already too! Are you romanticizing it the way you should be? If not, let's try!
⛱️ Wear summer dresses and flowy clothing.
⛱️ Let your hair loose.
⛱️ Take some time to sit outside, in the sun or in the shade. You could read poolside or people watch at a local cafe.
⛱️ Take a dip in a pool, pond or the ocean.
⛱️ Treat yourself to an icy refreshing drink: try an iced coffee, a bubbly soda or a juice and seltzer.
⛱️ Go to a botanical garden or local park. Go early in the morning or at sunset for a magical experience.
⛱️ Stargaze on warm summer nights.
⛱️ Eat an ice cream cone or popsicle outdoors.
⛱️ Chase down the ice cream truck and get whatever your heart desires.
⛱️ Make a salad full of fresh garden veggies.
⛱️ Visit the local farmers market. Pay more than the grocery store, and know you're supporting local farmers.
⛱️ Pick up trash on your morning or evening walk.
⛱️ Find a shady place to hike. Bonus points if you go creek stomping.
⛱️ Get good and dirty digging up weeds in your garden. Plant some native flowers while you're at it.
⛱️ Paint. Whether it's a canvas in the park or your garage door, paint something!
⛱️ Clean and declutter. While it doesn't exactly sound romantic, you will feel refreshed and renewed once you get rid of a few things you didn't need or clean out your garage
⛱️ Treat your skin to a calming sensory bath and finish off with a mani/pedi.
⛱️ Vow not to turn on the oven for a week. Enjoy salads, sandwiches and smoothies.
⛱️ If it's not too hot or humid, open up the windows at night.
⛱️ Set up an outdoor movie. Don't forget the bug spray!
⛱️ Plan a trip. Whether it's a day trip or a two week vacay, go somewhere you've never been.
⛱️ Get sandy. Go to the beach or anywhere you can find sand. Dig, pour, build a sand castle!
⛱️ Visit a museum. Art, science, history, children's museums... See what your area offers.
⛱️ Get on a boat. If you don't know anyone who had one, go in on a rental with friends or family. Have a fun day on the waves.
⛱️ Barbeque! There's nothing like cooking outside when the weather heats up. Invite friends with kids for a fun night.
